• The role of the BMA & GMC
• Caldicott Guardians
• The Data Protection Act
• Freedom of Information Act
• Access to Health Records Act
• Significant Event reporting & Whistle blowing
• Clinical Governance & Best Practice

This session will introduce and explain the different ways confidentiality can be broken, using real scenarios and role play.

Skills, knowledge and understanding will be gained to reduce the risk and potential damage of accidental disclosure.
